How does the free trial work?
Open the editor and try the core tools — viewing, annotating and page organization — on one document, no sign-up. Premium tools (text editing, signatures, watermarks, merging and more) stay locked until you upgrade. After your free document, OrionPDF asks for €1 to continue. Exports during the trial carry a small badge; Premium removes it.
Seriously — why is premium only €1?
Because our marginal cost is zero. OrionPDF does all PDF processing inside your browser, so we pay for no servers, no storage and no bandwidth per document. €1 covers development and support, and the low price is the growth strategy: nobody needs to think twice.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. Files are opened with the browser's File API and processed in memory on your machine. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and everything keeps working. There is no server-side component that ever sees your data.
Why do you ask for Google/GitHub/Facebook sign-in?
Signing in is optional and only used to link a Premium purchase to your account. We only receive your name and email from that provider — OrionPDF never accesses your Drive, repositories, files, or anything else from your account. Your PDF documents are never uploaded regardless of whether you're signed in.
How does the license work?
After purchase you receive a key like ORION-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. Paste it into “Activate key” and Premium unlocks in that browser. One key is licensed for one person on up to two devices — we run on trust, like the price suggests.
What about password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs aren't supported yet — decrypting them client-side is on the roadmap. OrionPDF will tell you clearly when it meets one instead of failing silently.
Can I get a refund?
It's €1, and yes — email support within 14 days and we refund it, no questions. We'd rather keep the goodwill than the euro.
What does Enterprise add?
Volume keys for teams, permission to self-host OrionPDF on your intranet (including fully air-gapped networks — it's just static files), custom export branding, invoice billing and an SLA. €79/year covers 10 seats.
